Labor Day is celebrated in the U.S. as a national holiday on the first Monday in September. This holiday honors workers of this country. It starts the September off with a long weekend break .

Being in the SHS Band I marched in several parades in Sapulpa and some in Tulsa. Before that I enjoyed the parades as a kid and I remember one where afterward, Santa arrived in front of the American Legion post in a helicopter but I don't remember what year that was.

    First Friday's segment: 'Sapulpa Showcase' shares an artifact-of-the-month in the museum.

    Second Friday's segment: 'Historical Highlight' tells a little tidbit about the town's history.

    Third Friday's segment: 'Society Sights' shows a then-and-now image of a local business.
