A weekly update on the ins and outs of the museum. We showcase the "Artifact(s) of the Month" every 1st Friday. We highlight the "This Month in History..." every 2nd Friday. We see the sights of "Then and Now" in Sapulpa every 3rd Friday. And we share our moments in the museum world every 4th Friday.

Artifact of the Month:
A donation has been made to the Sapulpa Historical Museum by Wendell Evans, grandson of Otis R. Rule of Rule Furniture (and Davis-Rule Furniture). This is the first in our collection - we have images of the Dewey family visiting Sapulpa and Tulsa during Thomas Dewey’s Presidential Campaign tour with his wife, a Sapulpan, Frances Hutt - but we did not have any video footage of their visit.

Thanks to Otis Rule for filming the event, and thank you to Wendell Evans who knew of its significance to our town’s history, and donated a copy to our collection.

When you view the video, and you recognize a member of the crowd, please leave their name in the comment section below, and please include the timestamp from the video. In addition, excluding the Court House and Gazebo, if you recognize the location and businesses shown, be sure to include the name and timestamp, as well.

A few months ago, we had posted about the life of Frances Hutt to celebrate her birthday:
