This is my grandfather. My father was John Crawford Strange. My grandfather died just before I turned 3 years old so I don’t remember him well but I do remember my grandmother Mildred Lindsey Strange. Lindsey is my given middle name. I came across this as I was looking into Willis Strange’s term as sheriff. Thank you for posting this.

You are very welcome! Here's something we thought was funny - we came across the bottles with W C S on them and we didnt know if this was a glass company we never heard of! So we did some research and still couldn't find W C S glass company. Then we looked at the glass plants we did have, and under Coca Cola, the manager's name appeared - Willis C Strange! And we knew the name because we were also researching Sherriffs (and all law enforcement) and we were blown away!

I have some of my grandfathers cards that he handed out for votes. I’m not sure how to post pictures here but wouldn’t mind sending you one from when he ran for sheriff and for re-election as sheriff as I have several.
