What Have We Been Up to This Month...

The museum is getting ready for the holiday seasons! We have projects we are currently working on, and some we can even show you. For instance,
  • The new exhibition room for Local Artists is now open!
  • A travel exhibit from Oklahoma Historical Society will arrive nearly 2 weeks from now - "Votes for Women: 100 Years of Women's Suffrage" Nov 4, 2020 - Jan 4, 2021.
  • We will be having Christmas Open House on Thursday, December 10, from 5pm-7pm.
    • It is a 1920s theme night!

Tourism:
Tourism has picked up due to the Oklahoma Passport. Thank you, passport users! You can pick up one free, here at the museum.
The furthest tourists are from:
  • In Oklahoma: Mustang, OK (approx. 113 miles away)
  • In State: New York City, NY (approx. 1,400 miles away)

    Sapulpa Historical Society has new blog series to be posted every Friday.
    ​

    The new blog series, "Then and Now,"  has 4 segments to teach Creek County history.

    First Friday's segment: 'Sapulpa Showcase' shares an artifact-of-the-month in the museum.

    Second Friday's segment: 'Historical Highlight' tells a little tidbit about the town's history.

    Third Friday's segment: 'Society Sights' shows a then-and-now image of a local business.

    Fourth Friday's segment: 'Museum Moments' features life in the museum world.
