Did you know...

Frankoma Pottery announced that it would begin selling jewelry made from clay. The new items would be called Silla-Gems meaning gems from silica. A total of 50 different pieces were being made. The photo shows a table made of Silla-Gems by Mrs. Frank using different pieces of Frankoma Jewelry. (Sapulpa Herald, August 5, 1956).

'Historical Highlight' features this-month-in-Sapulpa-history. 

Historical Highlight is the second segment of the new series, "Then and Now."  This particular segment will be available every 2nd Friday each month. The series will be available every Friday (July 2018 to June 2019).

History is something that I have always been fond of. If you are not interested in history, then you might as well leave this comment. Kidding aside, I really do think that history is an integral part of our society. History is the study of past events, and if you think about it, it is those events that have allowed us to be better people. If we understand what happened wrong in the past, then we can get better in the future.
